A unique feature of the Armenian Genocide is the level of denial that has surrounded the events of 1915. Successive Turkish governments have denied what took
place in 1915 was genocide, and they continue to do so today. Having destroyed Armenians, Turkey seeks to rewrite history, and destroy the very memory of 3,000 years of Armenian life in the lands it occupies - the historic heartland of Armenia. Sadly some Western governments, in the name of politics have followed suit.
