Bus Frequency Bus services need to be more frequent than now.
Bus Frequency Bus services to towns such as Stevenage and Bishops Stortford are inadequate. The bus services are too infrequent at night and at weekends.
Bus Lack Bus transport in this area very sparse since the Green Line London to Cambridge bus terminated.
Bus Good Buses appear to be more frequent and I've seen more people waiting at bus stops recently.
Bus Bad Buses are almost always empty and therefore not cost effective or environmentally friendly.
Bus Problems Buses are not accessible to the disabled
Bus Destination Buses don't always go to the towns that you want them to i.e. St Albans

Bus Timetable Buses have poor timetables and are inconvenient.
Bus Convert Buses have to be frequent and reliable to get people out of their cars
Bus Destination Can we please have a frequent/fast bus service to major towns around Buntingford?
Bus Bad Cost and frequency of buses makes them unusable
Bus Services Delighted with 700 bus service but would like a direct bus service between Buntingford and Ware.
Bus   Due to the lack of buses and the infrequency it is impossible to use public services to/from work.
Bus   Even a more frequent bus service would mean waiting at bus stops- so I don't think that would work. I frequently pick up and drop off villagers in Buntingford that were waiting at bus stops for buses
Bus   Extended bus times would be nice
Bus   Frequency and timetable of bus services very poor, there are also no buses in the evening.
Bus   Getting to the bus stop is dangerous because there is no public footpath on the roadway.
Bus   Have to walk 15 minutes to get to bus stop
Bus Services Have used the 700 bus to Stansted but could do with an earlier bus for early morning flights.
Bus   Having recently moved to the areas we find the bus service very infrequent, especially to Ware. A more direct route would be good.
Bus   I am pleased with the reinstatement of the700 bus.
Bus Services I am very pleased with the 700 bus Stevenage to Bishops Stortford. We are trying to use the bus service more and more so please keep up the good work.
Bus Problems I believe that the biggest problem is that drivers do not call out stops, and there is no route maps of the journeys so if you do not know a place you can get on/off at wrong stop.
Bus   I believe there are now more buses than previously, but weighing up the cost and convenience it is still better to use a car.
Bus   I do know that the times of the buses are restricting when you want to go shopping and get back again.
Bus Services I find the new 700 bus route very convenient as I can now visit my daughter any day of the week.
Bus Destination I have friends and relatives in the following towns: Cheshunt, Enfield, WGC but find it difficult to see them with the bus service at present.
Bus   I have to get to Hemel Hempstead for work, if there was a convenient bus service that didn't take a long time and left at the right time for me to get to work, I would use it.
Bus   I rely on the buses or I can't get out as I have to rely on lifts from relatives for car journeys.
Bus Good I think that the town has a very reasonable bus service and would not like it changed in any way.
Bus   I think there should be small local buses not large ones.
Bus Timetable I visit London about once a month in evenings via Hertford North station. As there is no late night bus to Hertford I am forced to drive to the station.
Bus Services I would like longer to shop in Stevenage when I use the 700 bus service.
Bus Destination I would like to bus from Cambridge to London reinstated.
Bus Timetable I would like to join several clubs in Buntingford that are in the evening, but there are no evening buses after 7pm. In the summer I walk back from Buntingford but can't in the Winter.
Bus Destination I would like to see the Green Line bus to West End/Wood Green reinstated.
Bus Frequency I would like to use the bus more frequently but the time tabled arrivals are too far apart.
Bus Services I would use the 331 bus to access Ware train station for Liverpool Street but the early departure of the last bus from Ware makes this impractical
Bus Reliability I would use the bus service if it were improved in reliability and frequency.
Bus   If a car is quicker and easier why take a slow expensive bus service?
Bus Frequency If a more frequent bus service was introduced to more towns of interest we would use them.
Bus   If a new bus route was introduced it would take a couple of years for it to become established and well used.
Bus Reliability If the buses were more reliable and regular more people would use them.
Bus   If the buses were the easy access ones then I would use them.
Bus   In the 80's the Green Line service to London and Cambridge was well used by ourselves and was very good.
Bus Bad Insufficient bus routes to any surrounding towns therefore without a car people are isolated and forced to use the dwindling shopping facilities in Buntingford.
Bus Reliability It is difficult to arrange appointments when relying on irregular, infrequent bus services.
Bus   It is improving but a more convenient bus to Royston would be good for the station in term time.
Bus   It would also be nice to have a bus that went to Hertford or Stevenage that did not take twice as long as getting in the car.
Bus   It would be convenient if there was a bus once a day to visit the shops and surgery.
Bus Destination It would be nice if there was a bus from Anstey to Bishops Stortford/Stevenage to give children some independence.

Bus   More access needed to community bus to Baldock for Tesco.
Bus   More buses (subsidised) to Buntingford with more direct routes to major towns. Smaller buses more frequently.
Bus Frequency More frequent buses please.
Bus Frequency More frequent buses would be nice please.
Bus   More frequent, smaller buses in Buntingford, Royston and Cambridge would be nice.
Bus Frequency More frequent/regular bus services would be welcomed.
Bus   More regular bus service needed to local shopping towns. Parents are 'taxi-drivers' for teenage children because buses etc are too infrequent and don't go to the right places.
Bus   Nearest bus route is over a mile away.
Bus Frequency Need a better more frequent bus service.
Bus Frequency Need better more frequent bus services that extend to the evenings and weekends.
Bus Frequency Need more frequent buses to Buntingford from villages
Bus Services Need to keep bus 700 running. Need more buses to London.
Bus Services New bus (700) to Stansted Airport is very useful and we have used it twice in the past.
Bus   No bus services on Sundays or bank holidays makes it difficult to get out for activities/church
Bus   Not everyone is as lucky as us to have our own transport, that is why it is important to keep the bus services and improve reliability and cost.
Bus   Not many bus routes and inconvenient timetables
Bus   Not sure as yet about bus services to Cambridge via Adenbrookes Hospital
Bus   Occasionally have to use public transport to Hertford and was surprised at the lack/infrequency/expense of buses.
Bus   On the rare occasion that I need a bus they either don't go to my destination or not at a suitable time.
Bus   One of the problems is that there is no late bus back in the evening.
Bus   Parking in Bishops Stortford and Stevenage is very poor but it is not practical to travel by bus if you want to combine buying large items and food shopping.
Bus   People complain about that there are not any buses - but all the ones I see are empty. Surely there is something wrong here!
Bus   Please can we have a late night return bus from Buntingford
Bus Services Please don't stop the 700 bus as it is very good and useful for going to Stevenage, Hitchin and Airport.
Bus   Please improve the bus service and roads to Stevenage.
Bus Services Please keep the 700 and 386 buses to Stevenage and the 331 to Hertford as this is my lifeline to the outside world.
Bus   Poor bus service to Stevenage, I don't think there is a service on Sunday, so that if you can't drive then you can't get out of the town unless you use an expensive taxi service
Bus   Provision of a free 'bus pass' system would be good like they do in the W Midlands for OAP's.
Bus   Son at College finds it difficult to get to/from Ware College on public transport as the times of buses and lectures don't match up.
Bus   Stevenage is probably the main employment area for Buntingford residents, but the bus service is too infrequent/unreliable to use it for work, so have to go by car.
Bus   Takes too long on the bus as it goes round all the villages and does not leave enough time to shop. Perhaps smaller feeder buses could be used in villages to connect with main service.
Bus   Thankfully we are still quite mobile but I hope that there is a reasonable bus service maintained in the future to allow plenty of time for shopping in Cambridge
Bus Services The 700 bus service is good.
Bus Services The 700 bus service is great.
Bus Services The 700 bus service is very good, but needs to be more widely advertised.
Bus Services The 700 bus was good because it ran frequently.
Bus Services The 700 to Stansted a good idea - keep it up.
Bus   The are insufficient people to use the bus service in our village to make it viable to Buntingford. I believe that bus services should be stopped and lower rates should be introduced.
Bus   The bus company Barker Bus used for school transport is appalling. Better school transport is needed - private companies are a law unto themselves with no regard to safety, driver behaviour or reliability.
Bus   The bus service does not leave enough time to shop in Buntingford before catching the bus back
Bus   The bus service for teenagers that don't drive is appalling. It means that they are unable to go out in the evening or go to college/work outside Buntingford.
Bus Good The bus service in Cottered is good.
Bus   The bus service is dreadful at weekends
Bus Frequency The bus service is not frequent enough.
Bus Reliability The bus service is terrible - I had to use it for two weeks and the last bus hardly ever arrived. It was a waste of time and money.
Bus   The bus service is too infrequent and too long winded (going through' lots of villages) to use as a mode of transport for work.
Bus   The bus service takes all day to go to the shops and return.
Bus   The bus service to Stevenage is infrequent and not direct and is time consuming.
Bus   The bus service to Stevenage is very good for my sons. Very useful for them as I work and they could not get to Stevenage otherwise.
Bus   The bus services should be better marketed to get more people to use them.
Bus   The bus to Cambridge on a Friday was ok but this now goes around all the villages and takes longer to get there. Now there is not long enough in Cambridge to do all the shopping.
Bus   The buses are not that frequent and when you only want a couple of things it is easier to use the car.
Bus   The buses for Stevenage and Royston have improved recently.
Bus   The buses go around the houses and take twice as long as the car does. If more buses went direct to towns more people would use them.
Bus   The buses seem to have improved of late - although they still do not take the direct route and take too long to get anywhere.
Bus   The Cambridge bus from Buntingford to Cambridge now goes around the villages and gives less shopping time.
Bus   The car is more convenient when carrying heavy, bulky loads and when going to more than one town. It also gives a door to door service which a bus service cannot.
Bus   The current bus service to Cambridge takes over an hour which is far too long. A more direct and quicker service is needed.
Bus   The family use the 700 bus service.
Bus   The Green Line from Cambridge to London was very useful via Buntingford some years ago.
Bus   The nearest centre for employment and shopping is Stevenage - the bus service for Stevenage is hopeless for people to travel there for work.
Bus   The public transport service between Buntingford and Stevenage is very poor. It takes a roundabout route and takes longer than by car. Could we have Hoppa style buses on this route.
Bus   The Saturday bus to Lakeside was great as we could go shopping and meet up with friends and relatives.
Bus   The Stevenage and Royston buses are too infrequent to be useful.
Bus   The weekend transport service is not geared up for a whole day spent in town as the times are unsuitable.
Bus Lack There is a lack of bus/coach services in Buntingford.
Bus Lack There is a total lack of buses and routes to towns surrounding Buntingford.
Bus   There is a vital need for a regular, reasonably priced bus service from Cambridge to London which stops in Buntingford.
Bus   There is at the moment a very limited bus service
Bus   There is no bus service at reasonable times to Stevenage, Ware or Hertford.
Bus   There is no late night public transport services.
Bus   There is no regular/frequent service to any towns around Buntingford. There used to be an hourly service by Cambus bus.
Bus   There is no Sunday service and the last buses in the evening are very early. Could this not be addressed?
Bus   There is not enough regular buses to Stevenage for teenagers to use.
Bus   There should be a more regular bus service for young people for clubs/fitness facilities etc.
Bus   Unless a bus service is available every day people are not going to leave their cars behind.
Bus   Until the bus service improves i.e. frequency and destination people will never be tempted to leave their cars behind.
Bus   We are fortunate enough to have our own cars, but feel that the bus service is inadequate.
Bus   We believe in using public transport wherever possible and have used the 700 bus to Bishops Stortford frequently. However we do miss the direct link to Cambridge.
Bus   We do not have a car so the bus is our lifeline.
Bus Services We have used the Intalink 700 bus from Stansted Airport to Buntingford which is very good.
Bus   We live over a mile away from the bus stop which is too far to walk with shopping or in the dark.
Bus   We live two miles from the nearest bus route.
Bus Destination We miss the Lakeside bus.
Bus   We need an integrated, fast, frequent transport service. A service from Buntingford to Stevenage station direct would be a good start.
Bus Services We think that the 700 airport bus is great as it allows us more shopping time.
Bus Services We welcome the start of the 700 bus, however a quick, reliable service from Buntingford to Stevenage still required.
Bus Destination We would like a better bus service in Buntingford to London and Cambridge.
Bus Destination We would like a bus service London-Cambridge using a small bus which we feel would be very popular.
Bus Destination We would like a direct bus route from Buntingford to London.
Bus Destination We would like buses in the evenings to Puckeridge and Buntingford.
Bus Destination We would like to see a resumption of the 798 service to Cambridge and London please.
Bus   We would like to use public transport but find it unreliable, we have waited in vain several times for buses to Ware.
Bus   We would prefer to travel by bus but service is not sufficient for our needs.
Bus Destination We would use a fast bus service to Hertford and Broxbourne Stations
Bus Destination We would use the bus service to Stevenage more often if it took a direct route. It takes 20 minutes in the car and 60 minutes on the bus!
Bus Destination Why not have an A10 shuttle between Buntingford and Ware/Hertford direct.
Bus Young people Without parents being able to transport children in cars, the children would be confined to Buntingford. Buses do not run parallel to working hours.
Bus Timetable Would like a late night bus from Stevenage so that we can go out in the evening and catch the bus back
Bus Destination Would like a more frequent bus service to Ware/Hertford/Harlow and Stevenage please.
Bus Destination Would like a regular bus service to Hertford and Stansted Airport. I would use the services if they were available and reliable.
Bus Destination Would like buses to run to Cheshunt as I don't drive and I have to rely on my husband to drive me to friends etc.
Bus Destination Would like more buses to go to other towns for shopping and looking around.
Bus Services Would like to see a more frequent service and include Sundays on route 331.
Bus   Would like to see a more regular, reliable bus service.
Bus   Would like to see a train link and more buses please.
Bus   Would use public transport if buses were more reliable, less expensive and the service ran at better times.
Car   Anyone with problems like claustrophobia has no option but to use a car.
Car   As disabled Senior Citizens we rely on our car - if we can't drive transport will be a problem
Car   As I drive I am not aware of any public transport problems
Car   Car journeys are essential during the day from rural areas.
Car   Cars have to be used as no train service from Buntingford and buses too infrequent.
Car   For someone living in a rural community a car is essential
Car   How do you take waste to the waste recycling point/or do a months shopping in Tesco on the bus. For some journeys it will always be necessary to use the car.
Car   I do not currently use the bus service as I have a car, but in a few years time when I can no longer drive, then I will have to use it.
Car   I have a company car and a private car and am totally dependant upon them.
Car   I have lived in Buntingford for 30 years and have now got into the habit of travelling everywhere by car. I have never travelled by public transport and have never looked into timetables.
Car   If you have already got a car with road tax and MOT it is cheaper to use the car then the expense of bus services.
Car   In a rural area it is almost always more convenient and cheaper to go by car.
Car   In a rural area like this it is essential to own a car and most people appreciate this. However more provision should be made for those that do not have access to car.
Car   It is impossible not to use a car when living in a rural area although I prefer to walk.
Car   It is just habit and ease that makes us use the cars.
Car   It is very difficult to go out in the evening from Buntingford without having to drive a car and this in turn causes drink/drive problems.
Car   Living in Buntingford as I do you need a car or you would not be able to go outside of Buntingford.
Car   Living in Buntingford it is impossible not to use the car every day.
Car   Living in Buntingford you expect to use a car a great deal. It is laughable to try to commute to London from this area so it's likely that there will be an increase of cars on the road in the future.
Car   Living in the town you have to have at least one car per household, but with children living with their parent till a later date they also need a car of their own.
Car   Once you have a car up and running and have paid for insurance etc, it is not viable to use expensive public transport.
Car   Once you have bought a car and taxed and insured it, it would not make sense to jump on a bus and pay more.
Car   People who are on a high income and younger people are spending their money in other towns/cities i.e. London, those people also have cars of their own.
Car   There are too many children transported short distances to school by car. It would be a lot better for them to walk and would save on traffic congestion.
Car   There is no alternative to using the car unless you live in a large town that has a station, however it is nearly always expensive, dirty and slow. It is almost always cheaper and quicker to go by car
Car   Until the time when it is more convenient and cheaper to go by public transport than a car everybody will continue to use their own car and pollute the atmosphere.
Car   Using a car is more convenient for carrying shopping and you can travel when you want to.
Car   We choose to live in a village and that our means of transport would be cars. If we get too old to drive then we will have to think about moving into town.
Car   We couldn't manage our lives without the car - as we have elderly parents who live a long distance away, and our immediate family live in Brighton.
Car   We do not use public transport because we all have a vehicle.
Car   We only go outside of Buntingford if we can get someone with a car to take us, as I can no longer drive and my Wife is disabled.
Car   Without a private car life would be very difficult.
Car   Without the use of the car neither of us would be able to live in Buntingford and be able to access all the amenities that we need.
General   Buntingford needs to stay as a small town in order not to lose its charm.
General   I now use the services of Ware town and Braughing village for everyday things like Post Office etc because they are more friendly and have parking available.
General   Living in Buntingford we will use local facilities wherever possible to support local trade.
General   Pedestrianised shopping areas and free parking would improve Buntingford town centre.
General   The problems in the High Street and Baldock Street need addressing
General   The town also suffers from a lack of attractions to pull people into the town from the surrounding areas.
General   We need a survey done on the town itself and it's services - as it is getting worse everyday.
General   Would like local services to be improved so that it was not necessary to go outside of town for facilities.
Information   Changes in information i.e. changes of times/pick up points etc come too late to change plans
Information   Have just moved into Buntingford - but would like more information available about public transport.
Information   I don't use the public transport available because there is no information about it readily available - perhaps this could be looked into.
Information   Need more information on existing bus runs, also more adequate posted bus stops. Sheltered waiting areas and friendlier staff would also be good.
Information   Perhaps public transport information and details of services like dial a ride could be put in the villages newsletter?
Information   Publish more information on new bus services which are now available please.
Information   Travel Guide only includes trains from Royston, not from Hertford
Measures   A method of reducing the traffic speed through Buntingford would be good - perhaps more of a police presence?
Measures   A speed restriction should be put in place on the A10 though Buntingford and Chipping
Measures   Can we please have speed cameras to enforce the speed limit.
Measures   Is it possible to have traffic claming placed on the Aspenden road. The speed limit is 30mph but car regularly speed along this road.
Measures   Lack of 'please drive slowly' signs in Anstey.
Measures   More speed restrictions are needed on the A10.
Measures   Need to enforce 40mph speed limit on London Road with speed cameras.
Measures   Speed humps should be put in the High Street to slow down traffic.
Measures   Speed restrictions needed in Hare Street.
Measures   The erection of speed bumps might slow vehicles down in Ermine Street.
Measures   There are no speed restrictions on Sandon lane so cars go too fast.
Other transport   All my visits to various towns depends upon the kindness of friends.
Other transport   BASH - Use them twice weekly, always supportive and only failed to arrive once.
Other transport   Cycling is not safe in the Cottered area.
Other transport   Dial A Ride not convenient as have to book 8 days in advance (don't always know transport is needed that far in advance). Not able to pick up at convenient time so may get to appointment v early/late.
Other transport   Don't know phone number for taxi
Other transport   Health Transport unreliable and have problems finding address. Also takes a long time getting to destination as has to pick up others. Not always available to pick you up at convenient time.
Other transport   Herts Action on Disability - Cost is prohibitive - mileage rates plus waiting time especially if not recoverable - I have made enquiries but cost prevented me from using them.
Other transport   I am an invalid and use electric scooter but use of this is dependant on the weather.
Other transport   I am unable to travel to other towns as I cannot transport my electric scooter on public transport or in a friend's car easily.
Other transport   I have to attend Addenbrookes regularly and friends and family have taken me so far. I would like to use BASH or hospital transport in future.
Other transport   I have to rely on a friends car to take me anywhere.
Other transport   I try to walk as much as possible. It would be good to have some public footpaths cleared for walkers.
Other transport   I would cycle to work if it did not involve cycling along the busy fast A10.
Other transport   I would like to see the paths regularly maintained in Buntingford.
Other transport   If there was a safe continuous cycle path down the A10 to Ware I feel a lot of people would use it.
Other transport   More dedicated cycle routes needed to encourage family cycling. It does seem stupid to put families bikes on back of car and drive to a safe cycling environment!
Other transport   Need regular trips to Addenbrookes and Brookfields Hospitals so have to rely on daughter's car - enquired into cost of Herts Action on Disability and it was expensive.
Other transport   No more cycle paths etc. More buses (subsidised) to Buntingford with more direct routes to major towns. Smaller buses more frequently.
Other transport   Question 19 concentrates on no of cars/vans - what about motor and pedal cycles? We have several of each and use them as often as we can.
Other transport   Roads are too dangerous to walk along in Aspenden.
Other transport   Special transport e.g. Dial A Ride has to be booked 8 days in advance. Herts Action on Disability costs 70p a mile.
Other transport   The taxi service to Buntingford is very expensive and usually have to wait along time for it to arrive.
Other transport   There is no street lighting in road from Buntingford to Aspenden
Other transport   Walking to anywhere is dangerous without paths along country lanes.
Other transport   We wish pavements were flatter for the use of wheelchairs and mobility scooters.
Parking   As a user of a disabled scooter I would like to have use of a secure place to leave my scooter in Buntingford - preferably around "Crown" bus stop.
Parking   Buntingford parking is great, plentiful and free. But people get really cross about cars parking on the High St.
Parking   Cars park opposite each other in the High Street which blocks the road and doe not allow the emergency services through. The no parking should be enforced.
Parking   General public parking should be banned in Buntingford High Street at all times.
Parking   I do think we need more parking in the town, often the Somerfield car park is full when I go shopping and I have to park in the High Street.
Parking   I feel there aren't enough car parks in Buntingford
Parking   I find it difficult to go into Buntingford to get my own prescriptions/Post Office/Health and Social Services when cars park illegally on the pavements in town and I can't get scooter past them.
Parking   I have trouble shopping in the town because of the illegal parking on the pavements making it difficult to walk along the pavements.
Parking   I wish there was greater discouragement for vehicles to park in the High Street as there is a free car park available.
Parking   I would like to see better enforcement of the parking restrictions but not to make the High Street one-way.
Parking   Often the disabled parking bays in the car parks are filled with illegally parked vehicles.
Parking   Parking in Buntingford is a problem.
Parking   Parking in the High Street is bad. Cars park on the pavement and make it difficult to get a buggy through. There is not enough enforcement of the parking regulations so people flout the parking rules.
Parking   Parking regulations in Buntingford should be enforced - parking on the pavement in Buntingford is too common.
Parking   Parking restrictions in Buntingford discourage people from outside town to shop here. The shops and businesses here need the expenditure of those people from outside Buntingford too.
Parking   Pay and display car parks are not good as it is a guess how long you are likely to stay in car park
Parking   Please can we have a better car park in Buntingford.
Parking   Royston is an empty shopping area due to the high cost of car parking and the vigilance of the traffic wardens. Please do not allow Buntingford to follow suit.
Parking   The car parks are nearly always full with people who work in the town so that when I get there they are full up.
Parking   The parking limit of 30 minutes is not enough for casual window shopping in Buntingford and should be increased to 60mins.
Parking   There are parking problems in Buntingford especially lorries parking overnight in the town.
Parking   There is a lot of inconsiderate, blatant and law breaking car parking in the town which needs some kind of enforcement.
Parking   There is too much parking on the pavements in Buntingford
Parking   There should be better enforcement of the restrictions surrounding parking in the High Street in Buntingford.
Parking   Traffic is dangerous when cars are parked on pavements.
Parking   We believe that the free car parks in Buntingford should continue.
Parking   Would like residents parking permits for the High Street (north end).
Public transport   A lack of public transport does not have to mean younger ones can't do their activities it just means parents have to be a taxi service.
Public transport   An integrated transport system running at regular times would mean I could use my car less often.
Public transport   Any activity that is not located in Buntingford relies on people having cars to travel there. The infrequent and expensive public transport is too unreliable.
Public transport   Apart from limited bus service there is no convenient transport system to support access to all towns from Buntingford
Public transport   As I rely on the car I am unaware of the Public Transport available in this area.
Public transport   Buntingford not having a train station means that learning to drive is given higher priority by youngsters as they are isolated otherwise because of the poor public transport history.
Public transport   Buses are not frequent enough/don't  connect with train services.
Public transport   Buses are rare and information line is hopeless. Trains and coaches are non existent. People have two choices - walk or take the car. If there was a better more frequent bus service we would take it.
Public transport   Car parking in Cambridge is very bad and expensive but have no choice since public transport unreliable.
Public transport   Cars are much more convenient than buses - I can travel to places not possible by public transport.
Public transport   Difficult to get to Cambridge via public transport and have long enough to do a good shop due to the timetable.
Public transport   Due to the busy lives of our family, we don 't have time to wait for buses. We would like to support  local community public transport but would find it impossible to have to rely on public transport.
Public transport   Due to the lack of Public Transport in Buntingford, it is necessary for us to run at least one car and in many cases more.
Public transport   Everyone over 65 should have free public transport!
Public transport   Excessive length of routes
Public transport   From Buntingford regular, fast services needed to Cambridge via Royston.
Public transport   Have only moved into Buntingford about eight months ago and so do not yet know about the public transport available
Public transport   High cost and infrequency of public transport
Public transport   I am a driver, but would enjoy the chance of using public transport to get out of Buntingford. Unfortunately this is not practical.
Public transport   I am always using my car to collect things/drop things off so using public transport would not help me. But the elderly who use the service are worried that it will stop.
Public transport   I cannot use public transport easily because of disability - when I did try it I felt nauseous due to the stop/start motion and it took too long to reach destination.
Public transport   I do not use public transport because I cannot walk far and using the car is more convenient.
Public transport   I do not use public transport except to get to London.
Public transport   I do use public transport but it has to be reliable or people will give up and use their car again
Public transport   I don’t use Public Transport now because it is not reliable or frequent enough although I have used it in the past.
Public transport   I don't feel safe using public transport and it's not that easy with a baby.
Public transport   I dread having to use public transport as it is so expensive and inconvenient here in the sticks. It is better in the London area.
Public transport   I have no real idea of available services at present. It is noticeable that services are getting better i.e. to Stansted Airport but services are still limited.
Public transport   I hope this survey is going to lead to better/improved public transport in this area and will not be 'buried' in County council.
Public transport   I only use my car to visit other towns because I have to due to the fact that public transport is so dire. There is no chance of persuading people out of their cars with the system as it is.
Public transport   I think that public transport is very expensive and the bus service is not very good.
Public transport   I visit elderly relatives in Grays Essex fortnightly, for which I used Golden Boy coaches. This has been stopped so I now do the trip by car. What about elderly that can't drive?
Public transport   I work for long hours and have a 2 hour journey home, so I could not find enough hours in the day to wait for buses/trains.
Public transport   I would be interested in using public transport if it used alternative fuels than diesel.
Public transport   I would like a cinema in Buntingford to allow me to go out in the evening as public transport is not frequent enough or reliable enough
Public transport   I would like to use Public Transport but the frequency/timetable are inconvenient Public Transport ceases at 9pm so anyone wanting a night out has to finish early.
Public transport   I would use public transport more often if it was available.
Public transport   If a couple uses public transport it costs more than the use of a car, car park fees at train stations make trains more expensive than cars.
Public transport   If I had to go to work using public transport I would have to change bus twice and only work for 3/4 hours. It is impractical and expensive.
Public transport   If the public transport system was more regular and reliable then I would not need to use my car so much
Public transport   If there was a regular, reliable and reasonably priced transport service to and from mainline stations I would use it.
Public transport   If you don't drive it is very difficult to get around. Public transport is not very good, but a train service would be great.
Public transport   In order to get people onto public transport it would have to be made cheaper, this would be difficult to achieve while fuel prices are high.
Public transport   In the 21st Century we have a 19th century transport system in Buntingford.
Public transport   Infrequent and expensive.
Public transport   Infrequent buses means have to use car more frequently than would like.
Public transport   Insufficient integration between services
Public transport   It is costly using public transport when you have two children as well as two adults.
Public transport   It is impossible to continue with our current lifestyle without a car due to infrequent transport links.

Public transport   Lack of late night Public Transport
Public transport   Lack of public transport severely limits education choices as without a car to transport children they cannot get to school/take part in extra curricular activities.
Public transport   Lack of public transport to local airports
Public transport   Like a lot of people we would like to use public transport but cannot use that what does not exist.
Public transport   More buses go through Hertford bus station in an hour than go through Buntingford in a week. Hertford also has two train stations - please can we have a similar service in Buntingford.
Public transport   More frequent routes together with cheap prices would have a positive effect on changing car users to public transport users.
Public transport   Most journeys are impractical on public transport especially with a child.
Public transport   Most places we want to visit can not be got to by public transport so we have to use the car.
Public transport   Never use Public Transport but would like it to continue for those that do use it.
Public transport   No public transport method could ever pay for itself while running an efficient/regular/reliable service in a rural area.
Public transport   No train service and poor transport links
Public transport   No train service. Bus service not direct and return not socially acceptable with regard to timing.
Public transport   Not enough legroom and bodyroom on public transport
Public transport   One regular weekly/monthly journey to Stevenage would be great
Public transport   Other areas of the Country particularly Nottingham have a better network of local Public Transport in villages that are as small as or smaller than Buntingford - why can't we?
Public transport   People have got used to driving by car due to the lack of cheap, frequent and reliable public transport.
Public transport   Perhaps some extra advertising of local public transport available may convert some car-aholics like us into public transport users.
Public transport   Public transport can never provide the convenience or flexibility required to get people out of their cars for work.
Public transport   Public transport cannot offer the convenience of door to door service or flexibility
Public transport   Public transport does not allow us to be where we need to be at the correct time - it takes longer using public transport and is not suitable for shopping trips as have to carry heavy bags a long way.

Public transport   Public Transport is a disgrace!
Public transport   Public transport is a vital commodity in rural areas - services should be more frequent and information about services made more easily accessible.

Public transport   Public transport is inconvenient and costly from Buntingford.
Public transport   Public Transport is infrequent and expensive.
Public transport   Public transport is not a problem for us, but for the teenagers in Buntingford it is a problem in that they cannot leave the town and create problems in the town centre.
Public transport   Public transport is not an option if you have to use a car to get to the station, and make sure that your are there ahead of time. The transport is not frequent/fast enough.

Public transport   Public transport is too expensive especially if more than one person is travelling. Little weekend public transport.
Public transport   Public transport is too infrequent and does not give you enough time at your destination to make it worthwhile.
Public transport   Public transport is unreliable, infrequent and costly. On the other hand cars are safer, quicker and direct and are a must when shopping.
